Work Requires Lane Closure on State Highway 112 in Springdale

BENTON COUNTY (6-22) – Work associated with constructing the U.S. Highway 412 Northern Bypass requires a lane closure on State Highway 112, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Beginning Monday, June 26, one lane of traffic will remain open on State Highway 112 between Carrie Smith Road and West Miller Road as crews lay asphalt pavement. The lane closure will alternate between the northbound and southbound lane. Traffic will be controlled using flaggers, traffic barrels and warning signs.
Weather permitting; the lane closure will occur Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Two lanes of traffic will be restored daily by 4:00 p.m.
This project (Job CA0907) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program. The contractor is constructing approximately four miles of the new four-lane U.S. Highway 412 Northern Bypass, which extends from Interstate 49 to State Highway 112. The project is expected to be completed mid-2018 and will provide a principal east-west route north of the Springdale Metropolitan Area.
