New Lanes Open on Future U.S. Highway 412 Bypass in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY (4-24) – Crews constructing future U.S. Highway 412 bypass in Springdale will require lane closures on State Highway 112, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, lanes of northbound and southbound State Highway 112 will alternately be closed between Carrie Smith Road and West Miller Road. These closures will occur Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Construction crews will be placing the final pavement striping on State Highway 112 prior to opening the future U.S. Highway 412 bypass in Springdale on April 30. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

This project (Job CA0907) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program. The contractor is constructing approximately four miles of the new four-lane U.S. Highway 412 Northern Bypass, which extends from Interstate 49 to State Highway 112. The project is expected to be completed mid-2018 and will provide a principal east-west route north of the Springdale Metropolitan Area.
