BENTONVILLE, AR (05-24) – Due to the current road construction on North Walton Blvd, beginning Tuesday, May 31, the Wishing Spring Trail will close for an extended period of time. The area affected with this closure begins just south of Walgreens on Benton County 40, and continues south to the Sunkissed art feature on the North Bentonville Trail. The closure will allow Arkansas Highways and Transportation Department (AHTD) to continue working on the Bella Vista Bypass project currently taking place in this vicinity. AHTD contractors tell City Of Bentonville Officials the trail should be closed for approximately four (4) months.

Wishing Spring Trail is a 1.6 mile trail that runs from Bella Vista Lake Park, underneath Highway 71 / North Walton Blvd., to the North Bentonville Trail / Slaughter Pen Trails area. The trail is part of the Northwest Arkansas Razorback Greenway.

For more information regarding the trail closure, please contact Bentonville Parks and Recreation at 479.464.7275.
