PULASKI COUNTY (3-30) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski County requires overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Beginning Sunday night, April 2, crews will be working to remove the bridge rails at Jacks Bayou and install temporary concrete barriers to begin construction of the new bridge. Overnight lane closures for northbound and southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 67 will be in effect to allow for construction.

The lane closures will occur Sunday night, April 2 through Saturday afternoon, April 8, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.

  • The inside lane of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed north of Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11A) in Jacksonville to north of the Jacks Bayou bridge between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. the following afternoon.
  • The inside and outside lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 67 will alternately be closed north of Jacks Bayou to south of Jacks Bayou between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
