Improvements to U.S. Highway 67 Requires Traffic Shifts in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (7-10) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires traffic shifts onto temporary pavement, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

To continue with construction, northbound traffic utilizing Exit 16A at Cabot will be relocated to a temporary off ramp while the existing off ramp is reconstructed. This transition is anticipated to occur Thursday, July 13, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels and warning signs.

In addition, three areas along John Harden Drive will be shifted onto temporary asphalt to allow phased construction of new box culverts. This transition is anticipated to begin the week of July 16 as construction allows, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels, warning signs.

The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
