PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (7-20) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 frontage roads T.P. White Drive and John Harden Drive in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires intermittent lane closures and lane shifts, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Continuing Sunday night, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. through Saturday evening, July 29 at 5:00 p.m., lane closures will be in effect on T.P. White Drive and John Harden Drive adjacent to U.S. Highway 67. The northbound and southbound lanes of T.P. White Drive and John Harden Drive will alternately be closed in multiple areas between Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville and State Highway 5 in Cabot. Traffic will be reduced to one open lane and controlled with flagging operations.
In addition, three sections of John Harden Drive have shifted onto temporary asphalt. This temporary shift will continue Sunday, July 23 through Saturday, July 29, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels and warning signs. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
