PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (8-10) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.
Continuing Sunday evening, August 13, crews will be working within the U.S. Highway 67 median between Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville and State Highway 5 in Cabot. Overnight lane closures for northbound and southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 67 will be in effect to allow for construction.
The overnight lane closures will occur Sunday evening, August 13 through Saturday afternoon, August 19, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of ArDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
