Construction Requires Lane Closures on U.S. Highway 70 in Garland and Saline Counties

GARLAND AND SALINE COUNTIES (6-18) – Construction work requires lane closures on U.S. Highway 70 in Garland and Saline counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will perform asphalt work that requires the eastbound outside lane to be closed a quarter mile east of State Highway 128 to State Highway 88. This work will occur from Wednesday, June 20 through Saturday, June 23.
Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone at reduced speeds, and speeding fines double within the work zone.
