Construction Requires Temporary Frontage Road Detour at South Street Bridge in Benton

Weather permitting, crews will close the frontage road below the bridge beginning Sunday evening, June 5 and it will remain closed for about one month. This maintenance of traffic plan will allow construction crews to prepare for moving traffic into the roundabout later this summer. Detours will be signed to use West Sevier Street and Bell Street to return to the frontage road or to cross over the South Street Bridge. In order for construction crews to make pothole repairs at the I-30 bridge, the Arkansas State Police will direct traffic to use the westbound exit and entrance ramps at Exit 114 to move traffic around the construction area.
