Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Crittenden County

CRITTENDEN COUNTY (8-25) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Crittenden County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 5.6 miles of U.S. Highway 64 to five lanes between County Road 375 and State Highway 147.
Crisp Contractors, Inc. of West Memphis was awarded the contract at $23,303,705.43.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in early 2020.
