BENTON COUNTY (12-6) – Construction of the U.S. Highway 71 Interchange for the Bella Vista Bypass will require temporary closures of State Highway 549, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the following sections of State Highway 549 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. starting on Monday, December 9 and continuing through Friday, December 13. During this time, all lanes of traffic may be stopped for 15-minute intervals.

  • State Highway 549 between the existing roundabout and Peach Orchard Road
  • State Highway 549 between just north of Slaughter Pen Road and Exit 93
