PULASKI COUNTY (04-06) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires extended lane closures on a frontage road in Jacksonville, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the northbound lane on T.P. White Drive between Madden Road and Northeastern Avenue will be closed from Monday, April 9 at 9:00 a.m. to Friday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m. The frontage road will be reduced to one lane for continuous 24-hour periods while crews construct guardrails within the work zone. Flagging operations and signage will be used to manage traffic during the day-and-night closure. Due to potential delays the public is advised to consider alternate routes and to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
