Improvements to U.S. Highway 67 Require Lane Shift in Pulaski & Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (5-9) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke counties requires a southbound lane shift onto newly constructed southbound lanes, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
To continue with the highway widening, southbound traffic will be moved onto newly constructed southbound lanes between Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville and State Highway 5 in Cabot. Weather permitting; this shift will occur Friday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m.
Crews will be re-striping the newly constructed southbound lanes, on-ramp at State Highway 5, and the off-ramp at Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11). The inside and outside southbound lanes will alternately be closed and shifted onto new alignment during this operation. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels and signs. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
