PULASKI COUNTY (7-9) – Continued work on Interstate 30 in Little Rock and North Little Rock will involve lane and ramp closures next week, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting; the following travel impacts and traffic pattern changes will occur during the week of July 12, including detour routes.

North Little Rock | Mon., July 12 – Fri., July 16:

  • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | I-30 Frontage Road northbound | Daytime single-lane closure and traffic shift between Broadway St. and Bishop Lindsey Ave.
  • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Broadway St. | Daytime single-lane closures between the I-30 frontage roads.
  • 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-40 eastbound | Overnight single-lane closures from the I-40/I-30 split to the merge from I-30 eastbound, and from the I-40/I-30 split to the merge with I-30 westbound.
  • 11 p.m. – 4 a.m. | I-30 eastbound | Overnight double-lane closures between 9th St. and the North Terminal.
  • 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | Broadway St. | Overnight alternating eastbound and westbound street closures between the I-30 frontage roads. Double-lane closures will be limited to 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Detours will be signed to use Bishop Lindsey Ave. or Riverfront Dr.

Little Rock

  • Mon., July 12 – Fri., July 16 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 westbound | Overnight single and double-lane closures between 4th St. and I-630. Double-lane closures will be limited to 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Mon., July 12 – Fri., July 16 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 eastbound | Overnight single and double-lane closures between I-630 and 6th St. Double lane-closures will be limited to 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Mon., July 12 – Fri., July 16 | 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 eastbound and westbound | Overnight single and double-lane closures between I-630 and Roosevelt Rd. Double-lane closures will be limited to 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Tues., July 13 – Wed., July 14 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 eastbound | Overnight single and double-lane closures between I-630 and the Cantrell Interchange. Double-lane closures will be limited to 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. These closures are part of the new traffic pattern to open the downtown off-ramp (Exit 140) to 6th and 9th Streets and the city's downtown street grid.
  • Tues., July 13 – Wed., July 14 | 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-630 eastbound ramp to I-30 eastbound (Exit 139 A) | Full ramp closure during overnight hours. Detour will be signed to use Exit 139B to Roosevelt Rd. These closures are part of the new traffic pattern to open the new I-630 eastbound ramp to the northbound frontage road.
  • Wed., July 14 – Fri., July 16 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | I-30 Frontage Road northbound | Daytime single-lane closure between 6th St. and 4th St.
  • Thurs., July 15 – Sat., July 17 | 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 off-ramps to Cumberland Street (Exit 141A) | Crews will be working to permanently close the exit ramps, although the existing ramp loop to 2nd St. will remain open. Traffic will be signed to use the newly opened downtown off-ramp (Exit 140) to 6th and 9th Streets and the city's downtown street grid. During the work to close the ramp, there will be an I-30 eastbound double-lane closure between 6th St. and the Arkansas River.
  • Thurs., July 15 – Sat., July 17 | 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. | Cumberland St. on-ramp to I-30 eastbound | Crews will be working to permanently close the on-ramp. Traffic will be signed to use the 6th St. on-ramp to I-30 eastbound. During the work to close the ramp, there will be single-lane closures on Cumberland St. between 2nd and 4th Sts.

Traffic will be controlled by construction barrels and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
