LITTLE ROCK (11-21) – Construction work will require lane closures on Interstate 40 in Pulaski County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Crews will be installing a precast barrier wall along eastbound and westbound inside lanes on Interstate 40 between Highway 365 at the Morgan/Maumelle exit to Interstate 430 in North Little Rock.
On Monday night, November 24, the inside lanes of I-40 will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weather permitting. On Tuesday night, November 25, the inside lanes of I-40 will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. Traffic will be controlled using advance traffic control devices.
This project is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and completes the widening of Interstate 40 between Conway and North Little Rock. The project widens I-40 to three lanes in each direction. The project is anticipated to be complete in 2016. More information on this project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com
