BENTON COUNTY (10-14) – Construction work on I-49 in Rogers and Lowell requires overnight lane closures on New Hope Road, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Beginning Tuesday night, October 18, bridge construction and concrete barrier placement will require lane closures on New Hope Road between South 46th Street and South Pinnacle Hills Parkway. One westbound lane will be closed, and the eastbound left-turn lane will be closed.

The overnight lane closures will occur on weekdays beginning Tuesday night, October 18 through Friday morning, October 28, between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels.

This project (Job CA0901) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5 miles of I-49 to three lanes in each direction. The work extends from Highway 264 in Lowell to New Hope Road in Rogers. More information on this $38.7 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
