Construction Requires Lane Closures on Interstate 49 in Rogers

BENTON COUNTY (10-02) – Bridge construction on Interstate 49 in Rogers requires nighttime lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.
Beginning Wednesday night, October 4, crews will be performing construction on the I-49 bridge over New Hope Road at Exit 83. The center and outside lanes of northbound traffic will be closed overnight. Weather permitting; these closures will occur nightly between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Wednesday, October 4 through Friday, October 6.
Traffic will be controlled using signage and traffic barrels.
This project (Job CA0901) is part of ArDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program and included widening 5 miles of I-49 to three lanes in each direction. The work extends from State Highway 264 in Lowell to New Hope Road in Rogers. More information on this $38.7 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
