Maintenance Work on Interstate 49 Requires Lane Closures in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY (3-20) – Maintenance work on the Interstate 49 shoulder in Johnson and Springdale requires nighttime lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will perform maintenance activities on the inside shoulder of northbound Interstate 49 near the Clear Creek bridge. The inside lane will be closed between Mile Markers 68 and 70 to perform the work.
The overnight closures will be in effect Wednesday night, March 21 through Friday morning, March 23, between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels.
