Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Van Buren County (CA0801)

VAN BUREN COUNTY (1-28) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Van Buren County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen approximately 8 miles of U.S. Highway 65 to four lanes. The improvements extend from Clinton northward to State Highway 110.
Bobby Kennedy Construction Company of Quitman was awarded the contract at $33,984,382.53.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in early 2021.
