Construction Requires Traffic Shift onto New Highway 412 Pavement in Lawrence and Greene Counties

LAWRENCE & GREENE COUNTIES (1-26) – Construction to widen Highway 412 in Lawrence and Greene Counties has progressed to the point that traffic will be shifted north onto newly constructed pavement, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will relocate two-lane traffic onto two newly widened sections of Highway 412 on Thursday, January 28. This will allow construction work to continue on the south side of the highway. The traffic shifts will occur in the following areas:
- Beginning at the interchange with Highway 67 in Walnut Ridge and continuing east for approximately 2.5 miles
- Beginning at the Cache River Bridge and continuing east for approximately 1 mile
Traffic will be controlled by construction barrels, signage, and pavement markings. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
This project (Job CA1003) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program to widen approximately 14.5 miles of Highway 412 to four lanes between Highway 67 in Lawrence County and Highway 141 in Greene County.
