BENTON COUNTY (11-15) – Pavement operations are set to begin on the re-aligned Grimsley Road west of Willis Shaw Elementary School in Springdale, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

On Thursday, November 17, crews will begin paving operations from Bridgegate Avenue to approximately 1,000 feet north of Willis Shaw Elementary. The paving operations will occur Thursday, November 17 through Wednesday, November 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting. Paving operations are not expected to impact daily operations at the school.

Traffic will be controlled using advance warning signs and flaggers.

This project (Job CA0907) is part of AHTD's Connecting Arkansas Program and constructs approximately 4 miles of the new four-lane U.S. Highway 412 Northern Bypass, which extends from Interstate 49 to State Highway 112. The project will provide a principal east-west route north of the Springdale Metropolitan Area. More information on this $100.6 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
