Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Saline County (CA0601)

SALINE COUNTY (12-19) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Saline County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 5.4 miles of Interstate 30 to six lanes, reconstruct three interchanges, and replace five bridge structures between U.S. Highway 70 and Sevier Street in Benton.
Johnson Brothers Corporation, A Southland Company of Roanoke, Texas, was awarded the contract at $187,339,930.14.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting.
