Temporary Closure Scheduled for Interstate 30 Eastbound Ramps at Highway 67 in Saline County

SALINE COUNTY | February 16, 2024
NR #24-054

Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires alternately closing the I-30 eastbound on and off ramp at Highway 67 (Exit 114) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday night, February 19 through Wednesday morning, February 21 in Benton.

Weather permitting, crews will alternately close the I-30 eastbound ramps starting with the I-30 eastbound Highway 67 (Exit 114) off-ramp and then followed by the Highway 67 (Exit 114) on-ramp to I-30 east. These closures will allow barrier wall work along the ramps to be completed.

When the I-30 eastbound Highway 67 (Exit 114) off-ramp is closed, traffic will need to follow the signed detour. See attached detour map NR 24-054-B for more information. The detour is as follows:

  • East on I-30 to Exit 116 (Sevier and South streets)
  • North on South Street Bridge
  • West on I-30 to Exit 114 (Highway 67 south)

When the Highway 67 on-ramp to I-30 eastbound is closed, traffic will need to follow the signed detour. See attached detour map NR 24-054-A. The detour is as follows:

  • West on Frontage Road (north of I-30)
  • West on I-30 to Exit 106 (Old Military Road)
  • South on overpass toward I-30 East on-ramp
  • East on I-30

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
