AHTD To Hold Public Involvement Meeting In Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK (4-15) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a public involvement meeting in Little Rock to present and discuss transportation solutions for the Interstate 30 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study. The study will identify and document the transportation needs and potential improvements for the study area, which includes I-30 from I-40 to I-530, including the Arkansas River Bridge, as well as I-40 from JFK Boulevard to Highway 67. This project is part of the department's Connecting Arkansas Program (CAP).
This meeting will present information on the evaluation and screening of the Reasonable Alternatives (that were presented at the public meeting on January 29, 2015) and the resulting PEL Recommendation(s). The PEL Recommendation(s) will be further refined during the final environmental process. The meeting will be held Thursday, April 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Horace Mann Arts and Science Magnet Middle School (Cafeteria), 1000 East Roosevelt Road in Little Rock.
The meeting will be held in an open house format, and the public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions, and provide input on the study.
