PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (05-09) – Construction on U.S. Highway 67 between Jacksonville and Cabot requires northbound and southbound lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 67 will be closed to perform overhead sign work. In addition, the work will require all traffic in one direction to be stopped for 15-minute intervals. These nighttime lane closures will occur overnight on Monday, May 13.

  • Southbound traffic will be reduced to one open lane between Coffelt Road and Vandenberg Boulevard from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The middle and outside lanes will be closed.
  • Northbound traffic will be reduced to one open lane between Coffelt Road and State Highway 5 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. the following afternoon. The middle and outside lanes will be closed.

Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage, with assistance from the Arkansas State Police. Advance warning signs will be placed to notify traffic approaching the closures. The public is advised to be cautious if traveling in this work zone and are encouraged to find alternative routes to avoid the highway closure.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
