GREENE & LAWRENCE COUNTIES (06-05) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 412 requires a lane closure in Greene and Lawrence Counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will alternately close a lane on eastbound and westbound U.S. Highway 412 to install drainage pipes across the road approximately 4 miles east of the interchange with U.S. Highway 67. This work will occur Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
One-lane traffic will be controlled by flagging operations, traffic cones, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
This project (Job CA1003) is part of ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program to widen approximately 14.5 miles of U.S. Highway 412 to four lanes between U.S. Highway 67 in Lawrence County and State Highway 141 in Greene County. The project includes a southern bypass of the Light community. More information on this project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
