Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Benton County (CA0901)

BENTON COUNTY (7-6) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Benton County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 5.1 miles of Interstate 49 between State Highway 264 and New Hope Road to six lanes in Rogers.
APAC-Central, Inc. of Fayetteville was awarded the contract at $38,702,138.88.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2018.
