Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Calhoun County (CA0702)

CALHOUN COUNTY (8-3) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Calhoun County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 4.3 miles of U.S. Highway 167 in Calhoun County between Hampton and State Highway 274.
McGeorge Contracting Company, INC. of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $21,759,588.17.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2019.
