Work on Interstate 30 in Little Rock and North Little Rock involves weekly lane closures.

Weather permitting, the following travel impacts are expected to occur the week of Monday, August 21.

Double-lane closures on interstate lanes will generally be limited to 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Traffic will be controlled by construction barrels and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

Road Openings

  • I-30 frontage road southbound between 4th and 6th streets in Little Rock re-opens Friday, August 18; traffic will stop on the southbound frontage road and then merge with exit ramp traffic from I-30 westbound

Daytime closures (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

  • I-30 frontage roads (single-lane closures) between 6th Street and 10th Street in Little Rock
  • Cypress Street southbound (single-lane closure) between 5th and Broadway streets in North Little Rock
  • Broadway Street (single-lane closures) between Cypress and Locust streets in North Little Rock

Overnight closures (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.)

  • I-30 (single and double-lane closures and traffic shifts) between Roosevelt Road in Little Rock and I-40 in North Little Rock
  • I-30/I-40 lanes and ramps (single-lane closures) at the north terminal in North Little Rock
  • I-30 frontage road southbound ramp to I-30 westbound (full closure) in Little Rock; detour signed to Roosevelt Road interchange
  • Cypress Street southbound (single-lane closure) between 5th and Broadway streets in North Little Rock
  • Broadway Street (single-lane closures) between Cypress and Locust streets in North Little Rock

24-hour Closures

  • Riverfront Drive westbound (full closure) between Olive and Pine streets in North Little Rock; Riverfront eastbound converted to allow for two-way traffic
  • Cypress Street (full closure) between Washington Avenue and Broadway Street in North Little Rock; detour signed to Broadway Street; see detour map NR 23-250-B
  • 3rd Street (full closure) between Mahlon Martin and Ferry streets in Little Rock from 10 p.m. Friday, August 18 through 6 a.m. Monday, August 21; traffic will detour to President Clinton Avenue; see detour map NR 23-262-A
