NR #23-287

Construction to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes in Saline County requires a ramp closure for the Highway 67 on-ramp to I-30 eastbound during overnight hours Friday, August 25 in Benton.

Weather permitting, crews will close the Highway 67 on-ramp to I-30 eastbound between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. This closure will allow crews to shift ramp traffic onto its new alignment adjacent to I-30 eastbound.

Highway 67 traffic will be unable to use the I-30 eastbound on-ramp during this closure and will follow signed detours. See attached detour map NR 23-287-A. The detour is as follows:

  • West on Frontage Rd (north of I-30)
  • West on I-30 to Exit 106 (Old Military Road)
  • South on overpass toward I-30 east on-ramp
  • East on I-30

Once the on-ramp to I-30 east is reopened, traffic will access the on-ramp south of its current location on Highway 67. See attached map NR 23-287-B for more information. This new alignment will remain in place for the foreseeable future as part of the construction.

Highway 67 Northbound

  • North on Highway 67
  • Slight right to access I-30 east on-ramp

Highway 67/229 Southbound

  • South on Highway 67
  • Left turn and then full stop before merging with Highway 67 northbound on-ramp traffic to I-30 east

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
