Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Ashley County (CA0201)

ASHLEY COUNTY (9-24) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Ashley County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 10 miles of U.S. Highway 425 between the Louisiana state line and U.S. Highway 82.
Diamond B Construction Co., LLC of Alexandria, Louisiana was awarded the contract at $44,594,955.66.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2020.
