Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Ashley County (CA0202)

ASHLEY COUNTY (9-24) - The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Ashley County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
The purpose of this project is to widen 5.4 miles of U.S. Highway 82 between U.S. Highway 425 and Hamburg.
JB James Construction, LLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was awarded the contract at $26,704,204.59.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2019.
