The construction project to widen Highway 67 to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville will require periodic nighttime lane closures during the months of October, November, and December.
As needed, crews will alternately close inside or outside lanes of northbound and southbound Highway 67 between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard.
Single lanes will be closed periodically overnight as needed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, October 1 through Sunday, December 31. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction during the work. No main lane closures are scheduled during the following times:
- 5 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 - 8 p.m. Monday, November 27 due to the Thanksgiving holiday;
- 5 a.m. Friday, December 22 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 26 due to the Christmas holiday; or
- 5 a.m. Friday, December 29 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 2 due to the New Year holiday.
Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
