Construction to widen Highway 67 to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires temporary closures of Hill Street and Tag Street starting Monday, September 18. These closures will allow construction crews to perform paving operations.

Tag Street Closure Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 22

Weather permitting, crews will close Tag Street at its connection with John Harden Drive. See attached detour map NR 23-302-A for additional information.

  • To access Tag Street, traffic can follow detour signs from John Harden Drive to N. James Street, Gregory Street, and then Johnson Street.

Hill Street Closure Monday, September 18 through Monday, September 25

Weather permitting, crews will close Hill Street at its connection with TP White Drive. Traffic wishing to access Hill Street will need to follow the signed detours. See attached detour map NR 23-302-B for additional information.

  • To access Hill Street, traffic can follow detour signs from TP White Drive to N. Bailey Boulevard and Hill Street
  • To access Hill Street, traffic can follow detour signs from N. James Street to W. Martin Street, N. Bailey Boulevard, and Hill Street

Traffic will be controlled with traffic drums and detour signs. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street Interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the Frontage roads from two-way to one-way.
