Advance Notice Weekend Closures Scheduled for Interstate 30 Eastbound Lanes and Ramps to Interstate 40 in North Little Rock

Interstate 30 (I-30) eastbound will be reduced to a single lane between Broadway Street and Interstate 40 (I-40) in North Little Rock, with alternating closures of the I-30 eastbound ramps to I-40, from 10 p.m. Friday, May 10 through 5 a.m. Monday, May 13.

Lanes and Ramps to Interstate 40 in North Little Rock

Interstate 30 (I-30) eastbound will be reduced to a single lane between Broadway Street and Interstate 40 (I-40) in North Little Rock, with alternating closures of the I-30 eastbound ramps to I-40, from 10 p.m. Friday, May 10 through 5 a.m. Monday, May 13.

The closures will allow crews to complete paving operations to widen I-30 eastbound to four lanes in North Little Rock.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday night, the ramp from I-30 eastbound to I-40 eastbound will close. Once work is complete and pavement markings are applied, the I-30 eastbound ramp to I-40 eastbound will open to traffic. This is scheduled to occur Saturday morning.

Following this opening, the I-30 eastbound ramp to I-40 westbound will be closed until all work and pavement markings are complete.

Detours for Alternating Closures of Ramps

  • When the I-30 east ramp to I-40 east is closed, I-30 traffic will take the JFK Boulevard exit (N Hwy. 107) to access I-40 east; See detour map NR 24-133-A
  • When the I-30 east ramp to I-40 west is closed, I-30 traffic will take I-40 eastbound and use the North Hills Boulevard ramp (Exit 154). During this time, the JFK Boulevard exit (N Hwy. 107) will also be closed from I-30 eastbound; See detour map NR 24-133-B

As part of the construction work, areas adjacent to the construction zone may experience noise impacts, including during nighttime hours. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
