New Traffic Pattern and Weekend Detour Scheduled for Interstate 30 Eastbound in Little Rock and North Little Rock: Phase 3 of I-30 Arkansas River Bridge Opening Begins November 1

Opening all lanes on the Interstate 30 (I-30) eastbound Arkansas River bridge will require a detour with traffic impacts over the weekend of November 1-4 in Little Rock and North Little Rock, weather permitting. This is the third and final phased traffic shift planned in order to transition traffic into its final alignment. Eastbound traffic is encouraged to find an alternate route during the duration of the detour.

Opening all lanes on the Interstate 30 (I-30) eastbound Arkansas River bridge will require a detour with traffic impacts over the weekend of November 1-4 in Little Rock and North Little Rock, weather permitting. This is the third and final phased traffic shift planned in order to transition traffic into its final alignment. Eastbound traffic is encouraged to find an alternate route during the duration of the detour.

Construction on I-30 will require a closure of all eastbound lanes with detours from 10 p.m., Friday, November 1 through 5 a.m., Monday, November 4. This work will not impact I-30 westbound.

Phase 3 Weekend Detour

The following detour will take place over the weekend of November 1-4:

  • I-30 eastbound and I-630 eastbound to I-30 eastbound traffic will be detoured onto the northbound frontage road in Little Rock (Exit 140)
  • Traffic will continue onto the northbound frontage road and use the 4th Street on-ramp to return to the I-30 eastbound river bridge; I-30 eastbound will be reduced to one lane when crossing the river bridge
  • Crossing the river, traffic will take the Broadway Street exit (Exit 141) in North Little Rock. The traffic signal at Broadway Street will be modified to allow a free flow of traffic off and on I-30 eastbound; Broadway Street traffic will be detoured to Riverfront Drive and
    N. Locust Street in North Little Rock
  • Traffic will continue onto N. Locust Street and take the Bishop Lindsey Avenue on-ramp to return to I-30 eastbound
