Construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires overnight full highway and frontage road closures between North James Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in 15-minute increments from 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 30, and 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 9.

  • 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 30 – Weather permitting, crews will temporarily stop traffic for intermittent closures on all northbound lanes of Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) and TP White Drive between North James Street and Vandenberg Boulevard. The closures on Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) and TP White Drive will occur at the same time. The closures will allow crews to perform bridge work.
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 – Weather permitting, crews will temporarily stop traffic for intermittent closures on all southbound lanes of Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) and John Harden Drive between Vandenberg Boulevard and North James Street. The closures on Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) and TP White Drive will occur at the same time. The closures will allow crews to perform bridge work.

In addition, Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) southbound and northbound lanes will periodically be reduced to one lane in each direction overnight (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) during these time frames:

  • Friday night, June 27, through Wednesday morning, July 2.
  • Monday night, July 7, through Friday morning, July 18.

Traffic will be controlled with police assistance, message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. Expect extended delays. Be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.

This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the frontage roads from two-way to one-way.
