Overnight Full Closures Scheduled on Highway 67/167 (I-57) in Jacksonville
PULASKI COUNTY | November 22, 2024
NR #24-369
Construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires 15-minute full highway closures between the North James Street off- and on-ramps from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Sunday night, November 24 through Tuesday morning, November 26.
Weather permitting, crews will temporarily stop traffic for up to 15 minutes at a time on all northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 67/167 (I-57) at North James Street (Exit 10A). This closure will allow crews to perform bridge work.
Traffic will exit at North James Street (Exit 10A) to the frontage road and return to the Highway at the next on-ramp to Highway 67/167 (I-57) to bypass the 15-minute delays for both northbound and southbound lanes.
In addition, Highway 67/167 (I-57) southbound lanes between the North James Street off- and on-ramps will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Friday, November 22 and will reopen once traffic has been shifted onto new pavement. Traffic will exit at North James Street (Exit 10A) to the frontage road and return to the Highway at the next on-ramp to Highway 67/167 (I-57).
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
