Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires the closure of the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 east from 9 p.m. Sunday night, February 23 through 5 a.m. Monday morning, February 24.

Weather permitting, crews will close the ramp and reduce I-30 eastbound traffic to one lane as it approaches Exit 111 (Highway 70 west) to allow for pavement work. Traffic will not be able to use the Highway 70 to I-30 east ramp during the closure and will need to follow the signed detours. See attached detour map  NR 25-033-A for more information.

  • Highway 70 to I-30 east detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 west, take Exit 106, and return to I-30 east using the overpass.

In addition, I-30 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 121 (Alcoa Road) and Exit 123 (Reynolds Road) to allow crews to install an overhead sign structure.

Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
