Ramp Closures Scheduled at Interstate 30/Highway 70 Interchange in Saline County

Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires various ramp closures at the I-30/Highway 70 interchange during overnight hours 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Wednesday night, December 5, through Saturday morning, December 14.
Weather permitting, crews will alternately close an individual ramp at the I-30/Highway 70 interchange to conduct pavement marking operations. No two ramps will be closed at the same time. Signed detours will be in place to navigate around each ramp closure.
- I-30 east to Highway 70 detour. Traffic will continue on I-30 east, take Exit 114, return to I-30 west using the underpass, and take Exit 111 to access Highway 70. See detour map NR 24-384-A for more information.
- I-30 west to Highway 70 detour. Traffic will continue on I-30 west, take Exit 106, return to I-30 east using the overpass, and take Exit 111 to access Highway 70. See detour map NR 24-384-B for more information.
- Highway 70 to I-30 east detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 west, take Exit 106, and return to I-30 east using the overpass. See detour map NR 24-384-C for more information.
- Highway 70 to I-30 west detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 east, take Exit 114 (Highway 67/229), and return to I-30 west. See detour map NR 24-384-D for more information.
Accommodations will be made to allow emergency vehicles to access closed ramps.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116).
