NR #24-081

Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires closing the I-30 westbound exit ramp to Highway 67/229 from 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 13.

Weather permitting, crews will close the I-30 westbound exit ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114) to allow crews to move traffic to a new alignment in preparation for an upcoming traffic shift on Highway 67/229.

In addition, the Highway 67 on-ramp to I-30 eastbound will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 through 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 13. Signed detours will be in place to navigate around the ramp closures. See detour map NR 24-081-A for more information.

  • I-30 westbound off-ramp to Highway 67/229 (Exit 114). Exiting traffic will need to exit early at Exit 116 (South Street) in Benton and take Highway 229.
  • Highway 67 on-ramp to I-30 eastbound. Traffic will use the interchange at I-30 and Highway 67/229 to take I-30 westbound to Exit 106 (Old Military Road), use the overpass, and return to I-30 eastbound at the on-ramp.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116).
