Construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville will require a temporary traffic shift and ramp closures from 8 p.m. Thursday, October 23, through 5 a.m. Friday, October 24.

Weather permitting, crews will reduce northbound traffic on Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to one lane between Exit 9 (Main Street) and Exit 11B (Air Force Base) to facilitate the lane shift.

Additionally, Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) northbound Exit 10A (N. James Street) and Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) northbound Exit 11B (Air Force Base) will be temporarily closed during the same time frame – 8 p.m. Thursday, October 23, through 5 a.m. Friday, October 24.

Motorists needing access to TP White Drive from Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) northbound should use Exit 9 (Main Street).

Traffic control measures will include barrier walls, traffic drums, and signage. Drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone and to anticipate reduced speeds. Please note that nighttime construction activities may result in increased noise levels in areas adjacent to the interstate.

This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street Interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the Frontage roads from two-way to one-way.
