Traffic Shift and Ramp Openings Scheduled for Highway 67/167 (I-57) in Jacksonville

Construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires a traffic shift onto new pavement during overnight hours from 8 p.m. Sunday, September 13, through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
Weather permitting, crews will shift Highway 67 northbound traffic, between Main Street (Exit 9) and the Air Force Base (Exit 11), from the existing main lanes to the new permanent traffic pattern.
In addition, two temporary alternating ramp closures will occur to facilitate the traffic shift.
- The James Street off-ramp (Exit 10A) will be temporarily closed from 8 p.m. to midnight Sunday, September 13
- The Air Force Base off-ramp (Exit 11) will be temporarily closed from midnight to 3 a.m. Monday, September 14
Additionally, several northbound ramps will be opened once the traffic shift is complete.
- N. James Street (Exit 10A) on- and off-ramps
- 1st Street and JP Wright Loop Road (Exit 10B) on- and off-ramps
- Air Force Base (Exit 11) off-ramp
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, traffic drums, barrier walls, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street Interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the Frontage roads from two-way to one-way.
