Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires ramp closures at the I-30/Highway 70 interchange in the months of October and November.

Highway 70 ramp to I-30 west
Weather permitting, the closures will occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday night, October 28, through Tuesday morning, October 29; Wednesday night, October 30, through Thursday morning, October 31; and Friday night, November 1, through Friday morning, November 8, to allow crews to conduct paving operations and switch ramp traffic onto new pavement in the ramp’s final configuration.

Signed detours will be in place to navigate around the ramp closure. See detour map NR 24-351-A for more information.

  • Highway 70 to I-30 west detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 east, take Exit 114 (Highway 67/229), and return to I-30 west.

Weather permitting, the closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Tuesday night, October 29, through Wednesday morning, October 30, and Thursday, October 31, through Friday morning, November 1, to allow crews to conduct paving operations switch ramp traffic onto new pavement in the ramp’s final configuration.

  • Highway 70 to I-30 east detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 west, take Exit 106, and return to I-30 east using the overpass.

Accommodations will be made to allow emergency vehicles to access closed ramps.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116).
