NR 24-280

Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires an overnight closure of the eastbound frontage road connection (south of I-30) to W. South Street eastbound from 9 p.m. Thursday, September 12 to 5 a.m. Friday, September 13.

If weather conditions impact the work on Thursday, September 12, it will be rescheduled to overnight hours Friday, September 13.

Weather permitting, crews will close the connection road from the eastbound frontage road to W. South Street eastbound for pavement marking installation. Traffic will be unable to use this connection road during the closure and will follow the signed detour. In addition, the frontage road will be reduced to a single lane and have flagging operation in place.

See attached detour map NR 24-280-A for additional information.

  • Frontage road ramp (south of I-30) to W. South Street eastbound. Traffic traveling east on the frontage road will travel under the W. South Street Bridge, take the loop ramp onto the W. South Street Bridge, enter the roundabout, and return to W. South Street eastbound.

Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels, flagging, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
