PULASKI COUNTY (3-26) – Construction on Interstate 30 in Little Rock and North Little Rock will require lane and road closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the following travel impacts will occur during the week of March 29:

  • Mon. March 29 | Long-term closure | 2nd St. | Full closure from River Market Ave. past Rock St. for an estimated two months. Street parking will be impacted. Rock St. at Markham St. will be closed to through traffic but access to the Central Arkansas Main Library parking lot will remain open. Traffic will detour to River Market Ave., Markham St. and Cumberland St. See attached detour map NR 21-080-A.
  • Mon., March 29 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | 6th St. ramp to I-30 eastbound | Overnight, full ramp closure. Traffic will detour to 4th St. and Cumberland St. to access I-30 eastbound. See detour map NR 21-080-B.
  • Tues., March 30 – Fri. April 2 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | Northbound frontage road to 4th St.| Overnight full closure after the 6th St. on-ramp to I-30 eastbound, along with the 4th St. underpass below I-30. To access 4th St., traffic will detour to I-30 eastbound, Exit 141A, and Cumberland St. See detour map NR 21-080-C.
  • Mon., March 29 – Fri., April 2 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-30 eastbound | Overnight lane closures between I-630 and the Cantrell Rd. interchange. Multiple-lane closures will be limited to 11 p.m. – 4 a.m.
  • Mon., March 29 – Fri., April 2 | 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. | I-40 | Eastbound and westbound overnight single lane closures. Westbound lane closed between North Hills Boulevard on-ramp and the I-30 westbound overpass. Eastbound lane closed between the I-40/I-30 split and the merge from I-30 eastbound.
  • Mon., March 29 – Fri., April 2 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | 4th St. intersections with Cumberland Ave., River Market Ave., and Rock St. | Daytime right lane and sidewalk closures at the intersections. Pedestrian detour routes will be signed for sidewalk closures. Some street parking will be impacted.

  • Mon., March 29 – Fri., April 2 | 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Broadway St. | Daytime lane closures and traffic shifts between Locust St. and Magnolia St. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
  • Tues., March 30 – Fri., April 2 | 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. | 3rd St. westbound | Daytime lane closure between Ferry and Sherman Sts.

Traffic will be controlled by construction barrels and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
